Well the Honingklip 4×4 site has gone live. This site is done exclusively in WordPress and uses plugins available for free from WordPress. I used the essense theme and modified it for the website. It uses a few jQuery plugins for header and Gallery section. It also includes a calendar, google maps and a follow tool.

Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools
I have been using these tools for the last few sites I have designed. I am by no stretch of the imagination an expert at SEO. But many of my clients just don’t have the resources to warrant heavy costs in regards to Search Engine Optimization. Realistically if you want to get to the front page of a search engine fast you will need a professional to do this work for you, but if you are like me and funds are tight there are some tools that can help. Here are 2 google products I use, they are free and not so complicated.
Google Webmaster Tools I have found this site invaluable with setting up my sites, helps with keywords, robot.txt files. I really have not even touched the surface of this program.
Google Analytics This I use for monitoring traffic etc. Sometime you just don’t have access to these stats, and by placing a small JavaScript link in the header of your site, Google is able to track the site.
We can all jump up and down about big brother having all our info, but the tools are good so the choice is yours, to me life is way to short to worry about some surfing stats for a website.
